Till today, even after some decades elapsed, nobody has ever been able to imitate him. It was in the Kart racing that Senna faced one of his biggest challenges as a pilot and he started to forge a nickname by which he was known in F1: the King of the Rain. Once he skidded many times in his Kart because the tracks were wet. So, after that, he decided he was going to be a champion and when it started to drizzle, Senna would get to the tracks and train hard. He would return home at the end of the day soaking wet. His persistence and determination yielded fruits because after that no one would win Senna on wet tracks. Senna´s helmet became known around the world, in Formula 1.

However, few know that it was idealized during the Kart years, by Sid Mosca. In 1976, Sid was given the responsibility to paint helmets of the Brazilian pilots that were taking part in the World Kart Championship. The helmets should be painted with the colors of the Brazilian flag (green, yellow, blue and white). Mosca opted to stress the yellow for being a vibrant and juvenile color. He added blue, green and white stripes, in a simple drawing, but at the same time steady and aggressive. After returning from the World Championship, the pilot looked for Sid Mosca, praised him for the helmet design and asked to adopt it for good because it had everything to do with him and with his love for Brazil. That is how the helmet became Ayrton´s identity around the world. A symbol of guts, overpower and victory. Brazil has approximately 180 million inhabitants. It is a country that suffers from a huge social inequality. It ranks 12th GIP (Gross Internal Product) of the planet, but occupies the 63rd position in the world human development ranking. It means that a small portion of the population (only 10%) gets the best opportunities, whereas the great majority stands stagnant in the levels of poverty and misery.
